Official Launch of *the Congolese Bereavement Project*
We are delighted to share that Ngamaba Community Path officially launched the Congolese Bereavement Project on Saturday 25 July 2026 in Manchester.
The launch brought together community members, partners and supporters to celebrate the beginning of an important heritage journey that will preserve and share the rich traditions, stories and cultural practices surrounding bereavement within the Congolese community.
This project will record oral histories, engage young people and elders, and create a lasting heritage resource for future generations.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to The National Lottery Heritage Fund and National Lottery players. Thanks to their support, this important community heritage project has become a reality.
We also extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended the launch, our volunteers, trustees, partners and members of the community. Your encouragement and participation will help make this project a lasting success.
This is only the beginning. We look forward to sharing our journey with you over the coming months.
Together, we are preserving our stories, honouring our heritage and inspiring future generations.
